He holds a DVM, MS, and Ph.D. from Colorado State University, where he specialized in wildlife health and diseases.

Dr. Aguirre has held several significant positions in prestigious organizations, including serving as the Dean at Colorado State University and as the Chair and Associate Professor at George Mason University.
