Dr. A. Nilesh Fernando is a distinguished economist with a particular focus on development economics, labor economics, applied microeconomics, and agricultural economics.

He holds a Ph.D. in Public Policy, with specializations in Development Economics and Labor Economics, from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government. Additionally, he pursued graduate coursework in Mathematics and Economics at the University of Oxford and obtained his BA in Mathematics & Economics from Hampshire College.

Dr. Fernando currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the prestigious University of Notre Dame. His previous roles include a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Economics at Harvard University, as well as positions at renowned institutions like the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL), Harvard Business School, UC Berkeley's Experimental Social Sciences Lab, and the Political Economy Research Institute.
