I am part of a Stanford student group building a virtual reality application based on historical sites across the world in collaboration with the Stanford CS department.
During March, for the development of our application, we are hoping to use virtual reality technology to scan noteworthy European sites. As such, we are trying to get permission to access and scan locations, particularly any in Spain, the Czech Republic, Greece, Germany, Amsterdam, Italy, and/or France. These scans will help preserve important historical sites over time. We would just need permission to take pictures of a few rooms within a site. Having private access for a short time would be very helpful, since having people in the scene can decrease the quality of the scans.
I was wondering if anyone who may have personal contacts at any historically significant European sites would be able to introduce us to individuals who manage these sites. Thank you so much for all your time and assistance!
