🚀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗜: 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸!
When organizations embark on their AI journey, many assume the biggest hurdles are a shortage of skilled resources, inadequate infrastructure, or budget constraints. But guess what? The real challenge isn’t any of these.
🎯 𝗧𝗵𝗲 #𝟭 𝗵𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲. Trying to "find a use case" to "implement AI" in itself is like holding a hammer and searching for a nail. Research shows that 85% of AI projects fail to deliver on their promises due to this very reason—misaligned use cases (Gartner, 2021).
So, how can we avoid this pitfall?
As a #DesignThinking coach leading AI teams, my advice is to start with your clients. Understand their pain points and processes first, then determine if AI is the right tool. Here’s how you can set yourself up for success:
🔧 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝗜 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝘀: Tailor these to your audience to demystify AI and collaboratively explore potential applications.
👀 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗦𝗠𝗘𝘀: Spend time in the trenches with Subject Matter Experts to identify real issues where AI can add value.
⚡ 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗣𝗼𝗖𝘀: Develop quick Proof of Concepts to show how AI would look in action. It’s easier for clients to grasp the potential when they see it.
🛠️ 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Don’t rely on AI alone. Combine it with automation, process standardization, and user retraining to maximize impact.
📊 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: AI is not magic. The output is only as good as the data input. Help your clients become data-aware and manage their expectations.
AI can revolutionize businesses, but only if implemented with the right mindset. It’s about solving problems, not forcing a solution.
