At the beginning of 2020, I participated in the Social Sector Solutions, a non-profit consulting project offered by the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business in partnership with McKinsey & Company.

In 5 months, I worked along with a team of amazing graduate students, faculties, and advisors to help our client Common App’s goal of expanding access and equity to college through new product offerings. Together, we proposed recommendations that can improve the transfer pathway for millions of community college students, and I am excited to see it being adopted by the Common App as a part of their community college initiatives!

As a first generation college student and friend of many transfer students, I am beyond grateful for this opportunity to promote equity and accessibility in higher education and further developed my understanding of creating social impact. I would like to shout out to my amazing team lead Brian, Tracy, Sagar, José, advisor Claudio Brasca, and professor Nora Silver for their coaching and support!
