Abdul Basit Khan SWATI has accumulated around thirteen years of experience in the humanitarian sector, progressing through various roles and responsibilities. His expertise spans Emergency Responses, Social Mobilization, Community Development, Project Design, Management and Implementation, Livelihoods, Food Security, Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation, WASH, School Safety Programmes, and Capacity Building.

His strong knowledge in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and resilience building projects has contributed significantly to strategic planning, monitoring, and implementation. He excels in developing disaster management plans, contingency plans, and standard operating procedures at different levels. Abdul has facilitated Multi-Hazard, Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments (MHVCAs), implemented tools for DRR and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) risk information, and empowered communities to lead their priorities for DRR and CCA.

Abdul Basit Khan SWATI has engaged with various donors such as DFID, USAID/OFDA, UN, ADB, WB, AA, BMZ, ECHO/DIPECHO, and EU for community development, water & sanitation, food security, environment, forestry, disaster risk management, and climate change adaptation projects across Pakistan.

His educational background includes a Diploma in Human Resource Management, M.Sc in Sociology, MS in Project Management with a focus on flood disaster management, a Post Graduate Diploma in Youth in Development Work, and a Master's in International Relations.
