Splitting time between india and US is over-glamorized. After moving back my first gig involved a lot of travel; and while it was fun at the time I would only recommend doing it in bursts and not making it a long term lifestyle choice.

Finally it’s all about the people. Since the day I moved for my mba I knew I wanted to be back. But people - friends, colleagues, family - made me love parts of my life in the US, and even have some second thoughts when it was time to move! At the same time, people and community make me love large parts of my current life!

The only unrequited desire - I wish one day I could gather all the people I love in the same space-time continuum.
Alas I am living a classic example of what Pico Iyer beautifully describes as the curse of the traveler “Yet you keep traveling and meeting more amazing people but eventually you miss them all… Part of the price of a rich life tinged with a bit of sadness and loneliness”
