Congratulations to the Maze Therapeutics team on this important licensing agreement for MZE001, Maze’s GYS1 program in development for Pompe disease, with Sanofi. The therapy is an important addition to the evolving treatment paradigm for patients, and Sanofi’s longstanding commitment to the Pompe disease community makes for an excellent partnership. This agreement validates the Maze platform including the application of differentiated genetic insights and biomarker discovery capabilities to develop novel precision therapies with best-in-class potential for patients in areas with substantial unmet need. Grateful to both teams for progressing MZE001 and thrilled to continue our partnership with Jason Coloma Atul Dandekar Harold S. Bernstein, MD PhD Eric Green Jillian C. and the rest of the stellar Maze team and board in further development of the pipeline, including therapies for APOL1 mediated kidney disease and others.
