My classmate that I met recently, called up after he noticed I'd written about a portion of our last catch-up conversation here on social (link to that post in comments). He is, in his own words, a purist social media 'consumer'. Zero posts, shares, reposts. And most probably zero likes. He only consumes!
He shot a few questions at me - why did I share that anecdote in public; do I truly believe in that quote etc. etc. I could see he had time in his hands and was taking the opportunity of our recent connect to address his curiosity.
I humored him. For what are friends really for, if not meaningful inconsequential conversations! :)
I responded with something. He followed up with more. Another half an hour of this and that. We finally landed on this verse from Dushyant Kumar's poetry to express my rationale. It is from his writing titled 'Aag jalni chahiye', which again was part of our Grade X curriculum, I think. (Link to full poetry in comments)
