Ada Marmion

Just Transformation Lead at EIT Climate KIC

Ada Marmion was the Just Transformation Lead at EIT Climate-KIC, where she focused on integrating social equity into climate action initiatives. She held this position from June 2019 until March 2021, contributing to the organization's efforts in promoting just transitions in the context of climate change. Her work involved engaging with various stakeholders to ensure that climate solutions were inclusive and equitable.135

Prior to her role at Climate-KIC, Ada gained extensive experience in renewable energy, climate change, and inclusive finance, working across sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. She has also served as the Director of Partnerships, Knowledge, and Impact at the African Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF) since September 2022, where she leads teams focused on partnership development and impact assessment.14

Tragically, Ada Marmion passed away in an accident in Kenya in July 2024, which was a significant loss to the climate and development sectors.2 Her contributions to advancing climate innovation and just transitions have left a lasting impact on the field.
