There's no ordinary day at Cloudbeds, especially when your name is Cindy Alonso. Cindy is one of our remarkable Product Managers — and something more: she’s an official Ambassador for #Google Women Techmakers who fight for gender equality in the tech world.

Out of the blue, Cindy received a call from a diplomat with the United Nations: a Strategic Member for Latin America in the UN Economic and Social Council. They were calling on behalf of the Nigerian Fraternity to invite Cindy to an evening ceremony.

Why? As it happens, Cindy was being honored with the Africa-Brasil Award in the category of Female Empowerment!

Cindy is one of Cloudbeds most tenured employees, and I can say confidently that her dedication and contributions to the community, here and beyond, are awe-inspiring. This recognition is not just a testament to her hard work but also a reflection of the extraordinary team I get to work with every day at Cloudbeds.

Everyone join me in giving Cindy a big brava! Onward!  #womenintech #proudCEO #strongertogether #brazil

After 48 hours of travel, I never made it to my final destination. Same story: weather disruptions. And a plane full of passengers with no pilot. The upside? Spending the night in Atlanta. This city is on the cusp of major travel demand thanks to a partnership with the Michelin Guide and the incoming World Cup 2026. If I was a hotelier in ATL right now, I’d be pretty excited about what’s possible with the right, unified platform. Imagine this:

💰When FIFA’s games are announced and there’s a quick spike in early bookings from a certain country, you could be capturing that revenue without having to touch anything

️️⚽️Pursue your target fans (or foodies) with discounts and packages. With great reporting, you can get to know the guests headed your way, easily create a package code for their unique interests (or fandom), offer it through your booking engine, and add it to all your marketing efforts, driving direct bookings, too.

🏆Figure out which rooms aren’t booking and make them more attractive so come #WorldCup2026 you’re maxing out occupancy rates.

All of this is possible with Cloudbeds. Our customers in ATL are going to be in great shape because they’re using a unified platform that serves and empowers them with the best data, insights and reporting features this industry has to offer.
