Highlights
I’m spending the next 4 weeks in Pune, India working with our friends at Extentia Information Technology. While I’m here I was offered the unique opportunity to address the Pune Chapter of WZCC about my experiences with 29029 Everesting and how it’s impacted my approach to business. 29029 was and continues to be the single biggest and best investment I’ve made in myself and I’m excited to share why and how it has impacted me.

It seems my 15 minutes of fame started earlier today when this article was published. Those of you close to me know about my adventures with 29029 Everesting this year. It's an amazing experience - I HIGHLY recommend. I was fortunate to have a 5 minute conversation with Jesse Itzler on the night before the event in Sun Valley after his keynote, he gave me 5 authentic minutes of his time to talk about my plan for the event and what drew me to it. I shared a little bit about my transformation and the impact his words had on my over the last 2 years. What I didn't know until much later was that Tad Friend of The New Yorker was standing close by and overheard part of the conversation. I got an email a few days later that Tad was interested in talking to me about what motivated me to do 29029. We chatted for about 30 minutes on Zoom a week later. It was a nice chat. Honestly I had forgotten about it until the fact checker reached out to me right before Thanksgiving.
If the goal of a motivational speaker is to motivate a change in someone's thinking, then Jesse 100% did that for me. Yes, Jesse's words helped me shed close to 70lbs over 2 years, but his lasting impact is coming out in other ways. As we did 2024 planning, I leaned into the idea that goals should be BIG and scare you, you have to work harder than you think for things you want. His thoughts on "you vs you" battle have transformed my thinking not just about physical challenges but also in my work and home life. I'm proud of all I have accomplished with a little inspiration from Jesse and this article is a nice little mile marker on the journey, but thanks to Tad's description I'll be adding "biblical beard" to my resume and business card! Enjoy the article!
