Highlights
Like many of you, I took some time out over the summer to be with my family and recharge.
Part of that time was visiting Wynwood Walls in Miami, a celebration of murals and graffiti. In a lot of ways, this area is the very definition of creative and effective work, as only what is appreciated stays on the walls and what is less so is replaced.
Yet of all the works I saw one stood out and resonated with me the most, a statement on the sidewalk by a vacant store unit.
Comfort zones are a constant challenge for businesses. Especially if your business is growing. You think you can stay in the zone you created and it starts to feel comfortable.
But this is the exact moment you need to disrupt yourself and others around you. Nobody likes to be uncomfortable all of the time, but it's unlikely you will be successful if you are in the comfort zone all of the time.
So, recharged and ready to go, here's to being more uncomfortable to grow and be more effective and successful. ⚡⚡⚡
AI has created a loud revolution in advertising. Where content can be created, measured and placed at speed and scale.
Yet a tension remains. That by gaining efficiency in production and measurement costs we may be paying a price in creativity and effectiveness.
With our launch of Ipsos Creative|Spark AI we have taken a big step to reduce that risk, where by applying our Human Intelligence/HI and latest Generative AI models we can now better represent the effects of advertising than more traditional AI led tools.
In this paper co-authored with my excellent colleague Pedr Howard we explore our HI datasets and thinking and why we believe it is critical to apply this to AI measurement. While also recognising AI will likely never fully replace the value of human research in the contemporary context of the world.
Welcome to the future of HI + AI creative research.
Please DM me if you have any questions about what we have learnt in these datasets and you can find out more about Creative|Spark AI in the link in the comments.
