His journey began in Cairo, Egypt, where he earned his degree from Ain Shams University with distinction. His passion for this field led him to pursue a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree specializing in electrochemistry and corrosion science at Cairo University, which he successfully completed in 1996.
In pursuit of furthering his knowledge and expertise, Dr. Attia traveled abroad and eventually achieved his Ph.D. from Charles University in Prague, specifically under the auspices of the J. Heyrovsky Institute of Physical Chemistry, in 2003. His doctoral research was centered around groundbreaking advancements in materials related to energy storage and conversion, laying the foundation for his future endeavors.
Dr. Attia has significantly contributed to the academic community by holding the esteemed position of Associate Professor at the National Research Centre (NRC), where he continues to inspire and train the next generation of scientists. His diverse experience spans across various international organizations and academic institutions, including notable research fellowships at prestigious institutions such as Monash University in Australia and Xiamen University in China.
