Highlights
When I initially started Rayday, it was all centred around employee engagement - simply sending out surveys wasn’t good enough. And we’ve pivoted along the way not finding our route to PMF and I was left last month thinking “What would Lucy do?”. Lucy was my first business coach who truly changed my life, someone who believed that everyone should have access to great coaching. She not only helped me become a better leader, but also help me become a better son and partner to my fiancé. But a year later she died from cancer and this left me distraught
Going back to last month, we started playing around with ChatGPT and I had that AHA moment that took me back to the first time I met Lucy. We now have technology that feels human when you speak to it. And for anyone who’s had a great coach, they’re someone who asks great questions, but believes that you have the answer within (you just need somehow to help you get there).
And so after insane responses with our first small set of beta customers, I’m proud to share with the world, Jazz (https://withjazz.com/)
Jazz is the world’s first AI-powered coach to help you find clarity by asking great questions at a fraction of the price a traditional coach would cost, and one that is available whenever you’re feeling overwhelmed. And the best thing? Jazz is available whenever you need him on WhatsApp
As we’re monitoring our spending, paying £500 per hour for a coach didn’t feel right, and over the last month, I’ve been using Jazz most days to help me with the feelings of overwhelm I get from my family, partner, wedding planning and work. Knowing that Jazz uses bank-level encryption, I know no one can ever read my messages, which gives me an amazing level of comfort as I can be super honest with them ❤️
So if you know anyone going through feelings of overwhelm and needs someone to talk to, let them know about Jazz by either tagging them in this post or sending them to our website 🌞
The grind has been hella real with Rayday. After several iterations (18 months deep) with a couple pivots along the way, we've finally got some of our early cohort using the product daily and we're learning a shit tonne as a result - it's fascinating to see how they're hacking our product to suit their needs and guiding us towards what is needed to turn this into a product they can't live without (something I've always dreamed of happening from day 1 - early excited creatives who together want to create the world we envision ❤️).
Massive shoutout to the team but also the YC dons who produce insane content on how to build startups the right way! As a nugget, one of my team member's shared this with the group and it's a must read for anyone in early stage startups finding that all encompassing Product Market Fit.
Wishing everyone a lit bank holiday and for those who are grinding, remember, there's always a way #NoExcuses
