I don't usually get too excited by new technology, but I've owned upliance.ai's DelishUp for the last few months and I think it's one of the best products I've ever experienced. I was proud to see it featured on Shark Tank India a few weeks ago, even if the company didn't end up with a successful offer (What?!)

The DelishUp is a smart cooking device that contains hundreds of recipes, and they're constantly adding more. All you have to do is select the recipe you want, make sure you have the ingredients needed and then blissfully follow this magical machine without worrying about whether you are getting the recipe right or not.

It will help you weigh the right amount of each ingredient on the built-in scale. It will tell you when each ingredient needs to be added. It will chop, saute, boil, cook, simmer, swirl etc. for the exact amount of time that the recipe calls for. All subjectivity and variability is taken out of the experience, which is perfect for inexperienced cooks. While the machine is processing one step, you can also do something else on the side and it alerts you when it needs you to move on to the next step, which is perfect for busy cooks.

In short, it's the ideal device for working professionals like me who may not like to cook or be particularly good at cooking, but have to cook anyway. It currently costs about Rs. 24K, but honestly that feels like a steal in the long run given the number and variety of recipes available, combined with the time and mindspace saved. I may have forgotten to mention, but the food it makes is really tasty! I highly recommend it.

PS: I realize this sounds like a paid promotion, but it's not - I just really like the DelishUp 😂

The entire industry,” says director Steven Soderbergh, "has moved from a world of Newtonian economics into a world of quantum economics, where two things that seem to be in opposition can be true at the same time: You can have a massive hit on your platform, but it’s not actually doing anything to increase your platform’s revenue. It’s absolutely conceivable that the streaming subscription model is the crypto of the entertainment business.”

Excellent article about the imminent popping of the streaming bubble, although I'm disappointed they didn't go with Breaking Binge for the title:
