Adnan Zulfiqar, a distinguished Scholar with a J.D./Ph.D. background in law and history, is renowned for his research on rule of law, criminal justice, codification, Islamic law, and human rights.

With over a decade of field experience in regions such as MENA, sub-Saharan Africa, and South Asia, Adnan Zulfiqar showcases proficiency in multiple languages and holds substantive policy and private sector experience, including advising sovereigns and contributing to the drafting and implementation of criminal codes in nations like the Maldives and Somalia.

Educationally, Adnan Zulfiqar has an impressive academic journey, including various degrees such as a Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. in Near and Middle Eastern Studies from the same institution, a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and more.

He has taken on diverse roles in organizations, currently serving as an Associate Professor at Rutgers Law School.
