Som IR på ett bolag som byggts upp av hårt arbetande entreprenörer kan jag inte tyst se på hur Euroclear Sweden försöker kväsa en konkurrent genom att utnyttja sin monopolställning som värdepapperscentral. Dessutom genom att ta vår aktiebok – vår data – som gisslan.
För mer bakgrund, lyssna gärna på podden nedan. Kortfattat handlar detta om att Euroclear försöker tvinga in sina kunder, det vill säga oss, i en oprövad investor relations-lösning istället för att tillhandahålla rådatan i våra aktieböcker till rimlig kostnad. Vilken leverantör vi väljer för att analysera datan och andra kringtjänster – Modular Finance, Euroclear, eller annan aktör – måste vara upp till varje enskilt bolag. Det är så fri konkurrens fungerar.
Jag vill uppmana alla svenska noterade bolag att:
- Inte gå över till Euroclears nya tjänst Vantage för att få tillgång till den månadsvisa aktieboken, trots påtryckningar
- Bojkotta Euroclears tjänster som inte är obligatoriska (exempelvis stämmohantering) fram till dess att våra aktieböcker finns tillgängliga till rimlig kostnad
Slutligen hoppas jag att Swedish Competition Authority skyndsamt utreder situationen och sätter stopp för Euroclears uppenbara missbruk av rollen som värdepapperscentral, och i nästa led att Finansinspektionen säkerställer att svenska noterade bolag har rätt att köpa sin ägardata till rimligt pris (precis som det fungerar i Finland). På så sätt kommer vi få bättre tjänster för ägaranalys som i sin tur bidrar till transparens på aktiemarknaden.
After 6.5 years at Fogel & Partners, the time has come for me to move on to new challenges. It has been a fantastic journey – from 5 to 15+ employees, 3x revenue growth and all while maintaining the #1 Nordic position in strategic transaction and IR advisory.
