Afzal Hossain

Dr. Mohammad Afzal Hossain is a distinguished semiconductor design process expert and former university professor with an extensive academic and professional background.

He received his Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University in 2002, specializing in high performance CPU architectures.

Dr. Hossain's career journey includes a tenure-track professorship at the University of Michigan at Dearborn, where he contributed to the field of computer engineering through research and teaching.

With a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 1986, and an MBA from California State University East Bay in 2006, he possesses a diverse educational foundation.

His industry experience commenced at Intel Corporation, where he was involved in the design of the Pentium Processor and subsequently contributed to the development of the Atom Processor.

His professional contributions extend to roles at Schlumberger Tech, focusing on fast SDRAM testing solution chip design, and at Nanova Corporation, where he led the architecture development of a DVD-Video authoring system with versatile media storage and playback functionalities.

Dr. Hossain's affiliations include serving on the technical committees of various conferences and actively participating in paper reviews for conferences and journals.

His research interests encompass semiconductor chip architectures, chip design flow, transnational semiconductor manufacturing, technology manufacturing, farming revitalization, and transnational trade.

Currently engaged in innovative work at Nanova Corporation, Dr. Hossain also lends his expertise as an advisor at Trade World Virginia and previously held the position of President at Nanova Corporation.
