Ahmad Ashkar is a Chief Executive Officer with over 20 years of top-level management experience in the non-profit and for-profit sectors.

He has been the CEO and Chief Investment Officer of the Hult Prize Foundation for the past 12 years, graduating more than 2.1 million impact entrepreneurs from 121 countries and deploying over $100 million in capital.

Ashkar oversees a global operation with offices on five continents, 100+ staff members, and 50,000 annual volunteers, making the Hult Prize Foundation the leading company in its sector.

He is passionate about impact, startups, and education, and serves on the boards of multiple companies, including the non-profit organization ANERA dedicated to improving the lives of refugees.

Ashkar has received numerous accolades, including being listed in the Gulf Business 2019 Top 100 Worlds Most Powerful Arabs List, and being named GQ Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018.

In 2018, Fast Company recognized the Hult Prize Foundation as one of the world's most innovative companies in the non-profit category.

He is also an author, with his book 'The Pursuit of Impact' released in April 2021, and a successful food entrepreneur with two award-winning restaurant brands.

Ashkar has a diverse educational background, including a Master of Business Administration and a Master's in International Business and Finance from Hult International Business School, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance from Avila University.

He has also studied finance and banking at various institutions, including the University of Maryland and the International Institute of Islamic Business & Finance.

Ashkar has been associated with prestigious organizations and boards, such as the American Near East Refugee Aid (ANERA), the Georgetown Business Improvement District, and the Clinton Global Initiative, among others.
