She is known for her work in promoting climate action in education and has developed the Climate Action Barometer for international education to provide global benchmarking, data, and insights to address the climate crisis.

Throughout her career, Ailsa Lamont has held positions such as Alumna of the WorkforClimate Academy at WorkForClimate, Senior Fellow at NAFSA: Association of International Educators, Co-Founder and Past President at CANIE: Climate Action Network for International Educators, and Director and Founder at Pomegranate Global Pty Ltd. She has also undergone training as a Climate Reality Leader at The Climate Reality Project and served as Pro Vice-Chancellor International and Social Innovation at CQUniversity Australia and Executive Director International at RMIT University.
