Highlights
On my last day at Freshworks, I had two priorities – get my last cup of Freshworks coffee and say bye to everyone.
The first was a resounding success. My last cup of coffee became my second-to-last cup of coffee, and then my third-to-last cup of coffee. After four years at Freshworks, I no longer had to describe my coffee preferences (half-sugar, strong, extra decoction) to anyone. The coffee was perfect every time.
The second was harder than expected.
There are so many people I have worked with and learned from in the last four years - some still at the company, many that have moved on – that getting around to thanking everyone seemed impossible. But let's try.
I had the good fortune to report to/work with/learn from Pranay Desai and Abhishek GP - both of whom taught me the importance of the how's and why's of marketing, and pushed me out of my comfort zone time and time again, so I could reach my potential. I am so grateful for the opportunities.
My incredible team over the years - Abid Ahmed Khan Akshaya Srikanth Rohit Viswanathan Krishna Charan Shrivarshini S. Dhawal Kumar Saurav . Meeta Sharma Akshaya Seshadri Ganesh Narayan Ida Jessie Sagina Varnika Om Aysha Shereen Ramkumar G Allan Roy. This group of over achievers made me look so good, kept me so excited about work, and always waited patiently as I told them at least one story before getting into work meetings. They're just the best.
There are also colleagues/collaborators turned friends that I'm grateful for - Roopa Pereira Meghana Biwalkar Harish Rijhsinghani Nandita Menon Shree Aathithyan Muthurajan Shaonli Nath Drishika Muthanna Sudarshan Somanathan Vishnu Prasad Selvaraj Merry George (there's more, I just had to stop somewhere).
I will miss the coffee, but I will miss the company even more. Thanks Freshworks <3
“If no mistake you have made, losing you are. A different game you should play.” – Yoda
My wonderful team described me in a bunch of laudatory Yoda quotes, but perhaps this is the one I most closely identify with. Being a first-time team lead has been one of the most fulfilling learning experiences, and I would not have had the courage to try, to fail, to learn and try again, if I hadn't had the support of my own Yoda Pranay Desai who led by example, or my entire team of Padawans past, present, and future- Akshaya Srikanth Krishna Charan Shrivarshini S. Dhawal Kumar Saurav . Aysha Shereen Meeta S (not to forget Abid Ahmed Khan Rohit Viswanathan Ganesh Narayan Akshaya Seshadri Ramkumar G) - right by my side.
I'm so grateful I get to work with such an amazing group of people at Freshworks, and that (almost) everyone has unlimited patience when I refuse to end Zoom calls because I'm just that excited to chat with the people I can no longer bother in person :D
