A few weeks back, I was able to attend Forrester CX North American Summit as a keynote speaker. Thank you Mike Proulx for the dynamic conversation around #AI myth busting and hitting home the hard realities of scaling AI across the enterprise.

👉 Key Takeaway: Marketing's implementation of AI requires a strong foundation in informational architecture and governance to ensure clean data, taxonomy, and workflows. It's an exciting time in the age of AI, but critically dependent on training these large models on strong, internal data for true impact + insights.

It was great heading out to TransUnion's Brave New Worlds conference last week. The day was filled with an rockstar group of marketing transformation leaders focused on customer centricity. I shared the stage with Michael Schoen and Julie Mynster to cover innovation in this space, tackling:

📣 Importance of 1st & 3rd Party Data: the customer path to purchase is more unique than ever, and signal loss is a reality. Smart utilization of 1st and 3rd party in a privacy & consent safe manner is critical in accelerating data-driven marketing.

📣 Audience Targeting: the strength of propensity models are critical in a cohort, driven marketing activation practice. This is especially true in the automotive space where only 5% of the US population will be in-market for a new car over the next 12 months.

📣 Winning across the Funnel: hyper critical in a customer centric world is ensuring a seamless interaction across all points of the funnel - ranging from zero moment of truth (ZMOT) --> first moment of truth (FMOT) --> all the way through second moment of truth (SMOT). Smart marketers are figuring out strategies to win across all these critical moments. Also, got to drop the fun fact that nearly 60% of name their car in the US - a demonstration of what an automotive purchase means to a household.

It was great hearing from Matt Spiegel, Dr. Marcus Collins, Gareth Davies, Richard Nunn, Justin DeBrabant, Roshni Joshi, Gregg Nathan, Marc Vermut, Vas Bakopoulos, Mike Bregman, Shamsa J., and many others around innovative step-changes they are pursuing to bolster modern marketing frameworks and approaches.
