Akshi Chawla is a professional dedicated to advancing women's representation in public life, with a focus on politics, leadership positions, and workforce inclusion.

As an Editor at the Centre for Economic Data and Analysis (CEDA) at Ashoka University, Akshi oversees the production and dissemination of data-driven narratives exploring India's progress on socio-economic indicators.

In her role as senior program manager, Akshi leads a project at the Centre aimed at understanding and addressing barriers to women's entry and retention in the paid workforce in India through the design and testing of interventions.

Akshi also manages #WomenLead, a unique publication that gathers vital updates on women political leaders globally, serving as a valuable resource for scholars, policy experts, and journalists worldwide.

With a background in Political Science, Economics, and Liberal Studies from renowned institutions like Ashoka University and Panjab University, Akshi combines her academic knowledge with hands-on experience to drive meaningful change.

Throughout her career, Akshi has held roles at various organizations, including being a Tableau and EM2030 Data Fellow at Equal Measures 2030, a Senior Program Associate at Global Health Strategies, an ICFJ Associate, Producer, and Data Analyst at the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), and a Senior Analyst at Vedavaag Systems Ltd.
