Akwasi Aidoo is a distinguished academic and professional with a rich background in sociology and a deep commitment to social development.

Akwasi Aidoo holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Sociology from The University of Connecticut and a BA (Hons) in Sociology from the University of Cape Coast, showcasing a strong educational foundation in the field.

Throughout his career, Akwasi Aidoo has held key positions in prestigious organizations, including being a Senior Fellow at Humanity United and serving as the Executive Director at TrustAfrica. Prior to these roles, Aidoo also contributed significantly as a Director at the Ford Foundation.

Akwasi Aidoo's professional journey includes impactful positions at the International Development Research Centre, where he started as a Regional Program Officer and advanced to become the Head of Health Equity Program for West & Central Africa, highlighting his expertise in program management and development initiatives.

With a passion for teaching and research, Akwasi Aidoo has also shared his knowledge and insights as a Lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam, Institute of Development Studies, an Adjunct Professor at the University of Hartford, and as a Lecturer at his alma mater, the University of Cape Coast.
