Highlights
On the morning of the 15th of August, many friends in India experienced a rousing, one of a kind rendition of the Indian National Anthem, post PM Modi’s address and then on YouTube - Sounds of India.
Inspired by tradition, powered by AI, Sounds of India was the culmination of a months-long effort that brings the power of machine learning and AI to Indian classical music, by allowing users to sing the national anthem and then have their voices magically transformed into the sounds of a Flute, Shehnai or Sarangi.
An ode to India and its limitless potential, the Google Partner Innovation team is proud to have launched this meaningful project, bringing the country together virtually at a time when we couldn’t connect physically.
The initiative was built on the back of a substantial cross functional effort including Tensorflow & Google AI, Google India Marketing, Policy, Legal, Comms & AI research, Our esteemed partners, Prasar Bharati & Virtual Bharat
