This is my first 'sales' role (by title). The most important thing I've learned:

People don't want to be sold. They want to learn about all the different ways to solve their problem, then use that information to choose a solution.

If your solution is good, they'll choose yours.

I’ve probably used 50+ AI products since January. A lot of products are smoke and mirrors.

But there are 3 that I use every day that have changed my life:

Duckbill: Duckbill is a literal personal assistant in your pocket. I asked Duckbill to coordinate cupcakes for my 1 year olds birthday party. They executed flawlessly within 72 hours — the cupcakes were delicious.

Otter.ai: Otter takes all of my meeting notes. I never take live notes and I can revisit conversations with perfect clarity. Otter once saved me from paying double what an agency was trying to charge me.

Superfilter (YC S24): Shameless plug, but it’s true. Superfilter manages my email inbox and I’m a huge email slob. Since launch, Superfilter has made me a star parent at my sons daycare (my response rate is through the roof.).

AI assistants are kind of hit or miss at the moment, but the great products are so good it’s worth trying anything you can get access to. Links these products in the comments 😁
