Highlights
After almost four years, this is my last week leading architecture initiatives for the Disney+ and Hulu web teams.
It's been an honor of a lifetime working alongside some amazingly talented engineers.
There have been ups and downs but some of my proudest moments are:
• Leading architectural efforts for one of the largest apps in the world from launch to 150M users
• Chartering and leading the Developer Experience and Architecture teams
• Creating the application architecture that serves as the blueprint for unification between all of Disney's streaming properties
• Visiting multiple offices and meeting over 100+ amazingly talented web engineers across the country in person. I even had a business meeting at Disneyland!
Huge thank you to Caleb Olin for your mentorship and support. I've learned so much about leading and growing empathetic engineering teams from you. Also, a shout out to Liza Gee for guiding me toward opportunities that challenged me and led to some of the best moments of my career.
So what's next?
I'm going to take some time to recover from burnout, go lie on a beach somewhere, work on things that excite me, and decide what I want my next step to look like. Whatever that may be, I'm excited for what's next and incredibly grateful for my time at The Walt Disney Company

Commonality aims to be the best way to structure and compose large JavaScript codebases. I launched one of the first steps towards that future over the weekend. 🚀
In the future, we'll have comprehensive metrics for how impactful packages are, how much code your organization is efficiently re-using, internal adoption rate and much more. You'll be able to create boundaries within your codebase and measure conformance health not just within a single project (free today: docs.commonality.co) but across every project in your organization.
