Management scholar, entrepreneur, runner and thinker with thirty years of experience in digital innovation

Aleksi Aaltonen is an accomplished Assistant Professor at the Fox School of Business at Temple University, specializing in data-based innovation and organizing.

With expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, Aleksi's work has appeared in prestigious academic journals including Management Science, MIS Quarterly, and Organization Studies.

Aside from his academic pursuits, Aleksi co-founded the popular activity tracking app Moves, which was recognized by Apple as the Best App of 2013 in the Fitness Revolution category and later acquired by Facebook.

Aleksi Aaltonen holds a Ph.D. in Information Systems from the London School of Economics and Political Science, complemented by a diverse educational background that includes studies in sociology, communication, and modern China.

He has held various positions at esteemed organizations such as Warwick Business School, The London School of Economics and Political Science, and ProtoGeo.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Aleksi is passionate about running and enjoys exploring the world of Italian wines.
