Alesandra Zsiba is the Founding Artist and Director of The Identity Project, an initiative focused on integrating arts into education to cultivate self-awareness and creativity among students. She is a documentary storyteller, dance artist, and poet, emphasizing a holistic approach to education that nurtures the entire student.1

Zsiba has an extensive background in the arts and education. She graduated from Oberlin College with a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Performance and later earned her M.A. from Bread Loaf School of English at Middlebury College, where her studies concentrated on youth literacies and creative practices.1 Her professional journey includes collaborations with notable organizations, such as the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center and the Duke Center for Documentary Studies.1

In 2016, Zsiba was recognized for her entrepreneurial efforts by winning first prize at Oberlin College’s LaunchU pitch competition, which provided seed funding to help launch The Identity Project. This project has since gained recognition through various accolades, including a feature presentation at the National Council of Teachers of English Annual Convention and selection as a finalist for the Robert Wood Johnson Culture of Health Leaders Fellowship.12
