Highlights
Hello everyone,
This year I've had the fortunate opportunity to be on the organizing team of LA Hacks - the largest student-run hackathon in the west coast, hosted annually at UCLA. Over the past years, LA Hacks has successfully hosted over 1,100 developers, engineers, and designers from elite universities to collaborate and build the future of technology. For over 36 hours, we provide a living environment completely free of charge that allows our hackers to focus on imagining, learning, and building the next big thing.
As you could imagine, running a hackathon is expensive (almost $200K) and corporate sponsors are not as willing to participate as in previous years. Therefore, we are calling on people like you: members and supporters of the UCLA community, advocates of equal-opportunity STEM education, and investors in societal progress, to help us continue.
If you are unable to contribute, we'd greatly appreciate you sharing our campaign across your own networks.
Thank you,
