Highlights
On Tuesday, the Assembly unanimously passed my bill to get accurate data on e-bike and moped crashes in New York.
There have been wild claims made about micromobility devices: everything from "they are more dangerous than cars or motorcycles" to "there are no collisions at all."
I issued a report last summer that dove into the question, but it required 4 months of manual data cleaning and 2,000 lines of code to get an answer.
With this bill, everyone will have accurate data on traffic crashes going forward, so we can design our streets to be safer for all.
I'm #hiring! If you think this could be you, apply! If not, please like/share so this can find the right person.
Caring for our constituents is core to our office. The Constituent Services and Operations Manager will be the first person most people who contact the office will interact with. They will engage with other government offices to help constituents get unemployment assistance, housing assistance, or any other needs. They will help direct my time. And they will ensure that all of the asks of our office go to the right person.
The only three requirements are an empathetic demeanor with constituents, the persistence to push through government bureaucracy, and organizational skills to never let a constituent request drop.
