Alex Chigoverah is an Agricultural Engineer with a diverse background in irrigation engineering, integrated water resources management, sustainable food systems, postharvest research, and policy advocacy.

He holds a Master of Philosophy in Agriculture with a focus on Postharvest Science and Technology, along with a BSc Honors in Agricultural Engineering, both from the University of Zimbabwe.

With experience spanning various roles, Alex has served as a Programme Policy Officer at the World Food Programme, Regional Manager for Southern Africa at GrainPro Inc, and also worked as a Regional Technical Sales Engineer for the same company.

His career includes researching at the University of Zimbabwe, as well as engineering positions at Micro Irrigation Services where he worked as an Operations Engineer and Design and Sales Engineer.
