Alex Herder is a seasoned professional who has been using animation to craft impactful stories since 2009. With a deep-rooted belief in the power of storytelling, he endeavors to create a positive influence in the world through his work.

Co-founding the acclaimed Duke & Duck content studio in 2009, Alex has been instrumental in producing a wide range of content, including brand videos, social media campaigns, explainers, advocacy initiatives, and animations for documentaries. His studio serves clients directly as advisors and content creators, in addition to collaborating with select agencies.

Over the years, Alex has garnered significant experience in developing award-winning animated content for renowned brands such as Capital One, the ACLU, Nestlé, Patagonia, and National Geographic, earning the studio accolades like the prestigious Emmy award.

In 2022, Alex took a step further in his mission by establishing Double Scoop Studio with a primary objective of ensuring that upcoming generations have access to narratives that prioritize social values and positive impacts alongside entertainment and profitability. The studio specializes in creating exclusive content for non-profits targeting children, as well as crafting original intellectual property.

Alex Herder holds a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Throughout his career, he has taken on various roles such as Head of Studio at Double Scoop Studio, Founder & Managing Director at Duke & Duck, Marketing Manager at Voxiva, and has also been involved in volunteer work with organizations like ACTS Clinic and as a Co-Founder at The Bike Project of Urbana Champaign.
