Alex Jiao is a 2x founder-scientist with a focus on commercializing scientific and technological advancements in fields like diagnostics, stem cell biology, and genetic engineering. Currently, he is heavily involved in molecular diagnostics, prioritizing accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and speed. He also holds experience in preclinical therapy discovery and development relating to cardiac and musculoskeletal issues. Alex's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering from the University of Washington and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University. He is an alumnus of Techstars Seattle and Y Combinator's Winter 2022 batch. Alex is open to discussions around institutions like Northwestern, University of Washington, Techstars, Y Combinator, academic research, biotech commercialization, and entrepreneurship. In his free time, he is a dedicated Green Bay Packers fan and shareholder while also being an enthusiast of dogs and cats.
