Alex Johnson

Alex Johnson is an experienced Chief Academic Officer with a strong background in strategic planning, growth initiatives, faculty development, and programming in graduate health professions education.

He has a professional focus on leadership development, interprofessional education, instructional and research leadership, program growth, and health professions education.

Alongside his role as a Chief Academic Officer, Alex Johnson is a Speech-Language Pathologist with research interests in adult medical speech-language pathology and fluency disorders.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Speech and Hearing from Kent State University and a Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology from Case Western Reserve University.

His previous roles include serving as the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at MGH Institute of Health Professions, Chair of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Wayne State University, and Director of Speech-Language Sciences and Disorders at the Department of Neurology at Henry Ford Health Hospital.
