Alex Nourafshan is currently serving as the Banking & Financial Products Counsel at Stripe. Prior to this role, he worked as an associate at Goodwin Procter, specializing in the firm's Fintech practice. With a background in financial services regulation, Alex has a wealth of experience in areas such as money transmission, payments, non-depository lending, banking, and data privacy. He has provided counsel to fintech and financial services clients on regulatory matters, licensing, compliance, product structuring, as well as investigations and enforcement issues under both state and federal laws. Alex's professional journey commenced as a financial services regulator at the California Department of Business Oversight. Alex pursued his legal education at Vanderbilt Law School, where he earned his law degree in 2015 and was recognized as a Vanderbilt Legal Academy Scholar.

Apart from his professional endeavors, Alex Nourafshan has showcased his expertise by authoring academic articles featured in esteemed publications like the Duke Journal of Gender Law and Policy, the Albany Law Review, and the Florida State University Law Review.
