Highlights
After 15 fantastic years I have decided it’s time to find out what life is like outside Vestas. I am excited to see what the next stage of my career brings but at the same time sad to say goodbye to Vestas, a company which has taught me so much and given me so many wonderful opportunities. There is a passion that runs deep in the Vestas culture. For most of us, work is more than just a job - we really care about our purpose and take pride in striving to be the best at what we do. I have seen it all over the company, and I will miss it and all the many colleagues who embody it. To my colleagues in Vestas: I wish you all success in continuing to build and develop the company. I will be cheering you on! To my wider network: I recommend you buy yourself some Vestas wind turbines!
Jensen Huang's visit to Taiwan last week has reminded everyone that plentiful supply of renewable energy is crucial to Taiwan's ongoing competitiveness in tech and AI.
I am glad to see the support for PV and hydro from the Ministry of Economic Affairs (Taiwan) but the fastest way to get large scale new renewables on the grid is to get the gigawatts of stalled offshore wind projects back on track.
The good news is that the government needs only to clear away their own red tape (...local content, cabotage rules etc) for NVIDIA and the rest of the AI sector to be powered by Taiwanese wind in just a few years. #Wind4AI
