Alex’s career in athletics began at Vermont Technical College, where he initially took on the role of Assistant Athletic Director. His natural ability to connect with students and instill a sense of team spirit led him to become the Head Women's Basketball Coach and later the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Services. His leadership and dedication during this period significantly contributed to the development of the student-athlete support infrastructure at the institution. This early experience laid the foundation for his future roles in athletic administration, where he would continue to advocate for student-athletes' well-being and support their personal and academic growth.
In addition to Vermont Technical College, Alex held pivotal roles at several institutions, including Yeshiva University and St. Joseph’s College. At each location, he played a crucial role in compliance and services focused on enriching the educational journey of student-athletes, ensuring they meet both academic and athletic standards. His experience as the Associate Athletic Director at Yeshiva University enabled him to hone his skills in compliance, program development, and athletic oversight, further establishing him as a respected leader in collegiate sports.
Before his transition into administrative roles, Alex was heavily involved in coaching. His coaching career began at Daniel Webster College, where he served as the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. He quickly advanced to positions with greater responsibilities, including the role of Strength and Conditioning Coach & Head Boys' Basketball Coach at Ranney School. His coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and the development of athletic talent, qualities that he carries into his consulting work today.
