This arrived in the office yesterday, and I am so excited!
Background:
I worked on this product for 4 years to get it right. I really loved bodysuits but hated that (a) they were so hard to get in and out of to pee and (b) you had to either wear underwear underneath or wash them every time after wear.
I imagined a design that allowed for a fully removable gusset piece, removing the uncomfortably placed snaps, allowing you to pee easier, and allowing you to replace the gusset after wear and wear again.
It took so long trialling dozens of types of closures. I had decided to patent the design early on, and I was committed to making it a reality - both emotionally and financially.
When we launched this product as a crowdfunding campaign, I was nervous. I wasn’t sure if anyone would want it or be willing to pay for it.
But you all showed up and blew us away yet again! We almost doubled our pre-sales goal in 30 days and it allowed us to proceed into production with confidence.
I’ve spent my whole life recognizing things that I don’t like. Things that piss me off. Things that aren’t designed well for women. Things that make me feel out of place in my body and in this world. And that’s what fuels me to innovate and create products, because I guess deep down I hope they have some positive impact of self love, a feeling of belonging, a knowing of being accepted in the world.
Thanks for allowing me to do what I love. 🫶
