Alexander Timmons
Owner at Mountain Trek
Alexander Timmons is the owner of Mountain Trek, a highly-rated health and wellness retreat located in British Columbia, Canada.13 His journey to this role is quite interesting:
Background
Alexander was formerly a tech founder in San Francisco, where he pushed himself to the point of burnout.12 His wake-up call came in the form of a health scare - he found himself in the hospital following a lung collapse.1 This experience led him to realize he needed to find a more sustainable path in life.
Transition to Mountain Trek
Fortunately, Alexander's search for a healthier lifestyle led him to Mountain Trek.1 He initially joined the company in 20185 and has since become a co-owner and active facilitator of the Mountain Trek program.4
Current Role
As the owner of Mountain Trek, Alexander's primary goal is to help others make transformative shifts in their lives, drawing from his own experiences.4 Mountain Trek offers a week-long immersive health reset program that aims to dramatically transform participants' bodies and minds.3
Approach and Philosophy
Alexander's background in the high-stress tech world gives him a unique perspective on the importance of wellness and work-life balance. He now embodies the Mountain Trek philosophy, which focuses on nurturing and caring for guests' health needs.1 His LinkedIn profile (username: xantimmons) reflects his current role and passion for health and wellness.35
Through his work at Mountain Trek, Alexander Timmons has effectively transitioned from a burnt-out tech founder to someone dedicated to helping others achieve better health and balance in their lives.
Highlights
Hello network!
Mountain Trek (the health and wellness retreat I've been working with since 2018) just released a new version of our 30+ year old, top-rated (recently rated #4 in the world!) program. This version is specifically designed for high-performing executives and team managers, so I figured I'd share on LinkedIn.
We're hosting a pilot program for 12 guests only this October 15-22 at our primary lodge outside Nelson, British Columbia. I'd be honored to have you, or a teammate you think might benefit from this week, join.
About: If you're feeling your energy wane, this week is for you. It's a week dedicated entirely to your physical AND mental health. Daily, our hiking guides will take you deep into the lush forest of British Columbia, our chef and nutritionist will prepare local, clean meals, and nightly, our massage therapists and state-of-the-art spa will restore your mind and body.
You'll break bad habits, form new ones, and return home energized, inspired, and completely renewed. It's truly amazing to see how much our brain and bodies can heal in just one week, if only we let them.
Please send me a note if interested and I will share more info.

If, like me, you didn't know that brain disease is 90% caused by our lifestyle choices, and only 10% genetic, join our live talk tonight, Wednesday, Dec 16th, at 8pm ET / 5pm PT.
The link between nutrition and our brain health, specifically, is a relationship we should all thoroughly understand.
Tonight, we'll be discussing this topic with two special guests, Judi Zucker and Shari Zucker-Kilstofte, ASID,CID. Together, they are The Double Energy Twins, and they have been writing about optimal nutrition since they were just 17 years old. Since then, they earned BAs in ergonomics, human physiology, physical education, and nutrition, and have written seven best-selling health cook books, including The Ultimate Allergy-Free Cookbook and, most recently, The Memory Diet.
