Question for #b2bmarketing, #productmarketing, and #PLG folks.
It’s no secret that Request a Demo buttons have become obsolete and that interactive #demos are imperative to show prospects your differentiation and value on your website immediately.
What I’m failing to understand, however, is why product #tours are the choice for so many.
The way I see it, a tour is an information dump, and buyers are forced to click through a linear path to get to what they care about. Imagine going to Costco for a specific item and needing to go through every aisle to eventually reach what you came for.
Tours are pseudo-self-service. The buyer can go forward or backward in the tour, but don’t have many options to truly pick their own path.
And maybe worst of all, tours don’t allow buyers to get their specific questions answered.
The product tours I’ve taken have felt a bit overwhelming (I wasn’t sure where I should be clicking) and I didn’t get my questions answered. I had to try the chatbot for those (a story for another day).
Maybe this is just me. How do you feel about product tours? Have you had a better experience? Am I missing something?
Please let me know.
Sales folks, are the materials you send to your buyers actually being reviewed and internalized? Or are they being left in your buyers' inboxes to die?
Here's how Omedym removes the guesswork of figuring out who has viewed what.
