Alexandra Hakim is a highly educated professional with a diverse academic background. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in French, History, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. She further pursued her studies by completing a Master of Social Work (MSW) at New York University and a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Additionally, she has also studied at the Convent of the Sacred Heart.

In terms of her professional experience, Alexandra has held various roles in different prestigious organizations. She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University School of Social Work. Previously, she worked as a Juvenile Rights Practice Pro Bono Attorney at The Legal Aid Society of NYC and as a Forensic Social Worker at The Legal Aid Society. Her experience also includes roles such as School Social Work Intern at Forsyth Satellite Academy High School, Social Work Intern at Safe Horizons, Attorney at Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP, Law Clerk at New York Supreme Court, Commercial Real Estate Associate at Paul Hastings, Summer Associate at Paul Hastings, and Legal Intern at New York County District Attorney's Office. She also served as a Legislative Intern and Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff at the Senate Office of the Honorable Hillary Rodham Clinton.
