Highlights
Hi everyone - I recently lost my job due to the civil war in Sudan, which broke out unexpectedly while I was living there. It disrupted my long-term plans and I had to return to Europe. It was traumatic, but happy to be alive. As a Social Impact and Sustainability professional whose job is to advance towards a better world, it is especially difficult to witness how a war destroys lives, livelihoods and whole economies. I needed time to digest all what happened to me last year and as a life long learner did some Peace and Economics studies in the past few months. I am now ready for my next professional challenge. I am based in Brussels right now, and ideally looking for a job here, but open to discuss opportunities elsewhere as well. I have a unique blend of sustainability, corporate strategy, public affairs, innovation and strategic communications experience and I work at the intersection of geopolitics, policy, business, regulations, innovations, human rights and innovation. I led a sustainability teams at multi-billion turnover company, facilitated sustainable business transformation projects to refinance companies, worked in public affairs and consulting and helped scale-up sustainability-led innovations. I worked across industries and geographies and open to any senior roles that are connected to advancing towards a better world for all whether closer to corporate sustainability, policy making, public affairs, strategic communications or program management. I appreciate any leads, advice or introductions. Thank you. P.S. Unfortunately there are many ongoing conflicts in the world and a lot of people lose their jobs due to displacement or because they need to flee a country and start a completely new life. Let's try to help everyone we can to have dignity. #OpenToWork #SocialImpact
Peace Ambassador Happy to announce that I successfully completed the course of the Institute for Economics & Peace and joining a global network of peacebuilders by becoming a Peace Ambassador.
Those of you who know me well know that I have always been a life-long learner. As a #socialimpact, #sustainability executive, I have always worked at the intersection of geopolitics, business, data, regulations, innovation to design program solutions for the challenges in the world, and #systemsthinking has always played a role when finding sustainable, lasting solutions.
Then last year I had a life-changing experience when I found myself in the war of #Sudan, which unexpectedly broke out when I was living and working there. I turned this traumatic experience into even more eagerness to better understand the Peace-Sustainability Nexus, the pillars of strong, positive peace. IEP's data-driven approach really helped me to put everything into context.
Today, I am even more committed than ever to put my passion and work into advancing towards a more peaceful world for all.
Did you know that 25% rise in food insecurity increases the risk of conflict by 36%?
