Highlights
At the start of 2024, I knew I had some big personal milestones coming up. I was going to challenge my photography skills at an immersive workshop in Iceland with photographers I had admired for years. I was asked to join a Mount Rainier summit attempt with my friend and his 13 year old daughter. A few other milestones that are important but more personal than LinkedIn tends to be. I was excited to also challenge myself at work, growing the reputation of Team Member Experience and getting real changes made for Chewy team members across the enterprise.
I wasn't planning to be re-org'd out. But you can't plan on everything. In late spring, I was told that with the recent HR restructure, the majority of my team were now without jobs. I wish everyone at Chewy the best -- there are still some of the kindest, smartest and best co-workers I've had the opportunity to work with there. And I'm so thankful for the friendships I carry with me. Chewy is a special place, and I hope that what is good there can continue to be nurtured.
I'm happy to say that the workshop was everything I wanted it to be, and that this past weekend, I stood on the top of Mount Rainier with my team and successfully made it back to camp (because after all, the summit is only the halfway mark). With these two big goals under my belt, it's time to find a place where who I am can make a difference to those around me at work.

Giles is helping me reread Whitter’s book on Employee Experience Strategy. He’s not sunbathing. Nope. He’s definitely being a productive office pup. Chewy #lifeatchewy
