Alice Hamilton

Dr. Alice Hamilton is a seasoned administrator, educator, and performer with a rich background in theatre arts and academic leadership.

Her career in theatre started in Canada, where she held leading and supporting roles in professional theatre companies, university productions, and festivals.

With over three decades of experience, Dr. Hamilton has directed theatre productions in Canada, Japan, and the United States, both professionally and in university settings.

In academia, she has held significant administrative roles such as Department Head and Assistant Dean of Theatre and Dramatic Arts at the University of Lethbridge.

Dr. Hamilton played a pivotal role in establishing the Maui Language Institute at the University of Hawaii Maui College, where she served as Program Director for 13 years and contributed to the Interdisciplinary Bachelors degree program at the University of Hawaii - Manoa.

She has conducted executive training workshops since 2017, focusing on areas like Executive Presence, Professional Presentations, Improvisation for Business, and Design Thinking, drawing from her training at Harvard's Professional Development Programs.

From 2013 to 2020, Dr. Hamilton was the Director of the Center for Continuing and Professional Education at the College of Charleston, overseeing successful initiatives like the English Language Institute, Professional Development, and Executive Education programs.

Currently, she leads the CofC General Studies Program, continuing her dedication to academic excellence and professional development.
