As we celebrate Women’s Equality Day today, it’s a perfect time to talk about a crucial issue: the health gap. Women might live longer than men, but they spend 25% more of those years in poor health, a gap rooted in disparities in data, treatment, care and more.
As a women's health investor, closing this gap is the top priority and I'm so proud to be part of a community of investors, innovators, and advocates working tirelessly to do just that. My career has been driven by a long-standing passion for advancing women’s health, beginning as a physician and continuing through my role with the women’s health practice at McKinsey & Company before entering the world of venture capital with Stasia Obremskey and Elizabeth Bailey.
