Alicia Schooley

University of Michigan PhD Candidate

Alicia Schooley is a dedicated researcher specializing in solar physics with a focus on the magnetic topology of the inner heliosphere. She explores the evolution of Interplanetary Coronal Mass Ejections using in-situ observations from the Advanced Compositional Explorer (ACE). Alicia's future work involves modeling the magnetic topology of the inner heliosphere using the SuperThermal Electron Transport (STET) model. Her educational background includes pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Solar Physics at the University of Michigan, a Master's degree in Physics from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematics from Kalamazoo College. Alicia has contributed to various organizations such as the University of Michigan as a Graduate Student Research Assistant and the Air Force Research Laboratory as a Space Scholar and Phillips Scholar. She has also gained experience as a Summer Research Intern at Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and as a Portable Electronics Specialist at Best Buy.
