Now that I'm tracking toward my 60th day, it's time for me to share that I've joined New Energy Nexus as Head of Partnerships, Events & Brand, focusing on supporting diverse entrepreneurs building a clean energy economy for the 100%! By 2050, 50% of emissions reductions needed to achieve net zero are expected to come from technologies not available at scale, and I'm proud to be part of an innovation org that centers justice, frontline communities, and deep co-creation work.
I spent many months journeying toward my next climate role, and I'm eager to support anyone else on the path in anyway I can. Sending immense gratitude to the 100+ inspiring people I met working in different corners of the ecosystem - from the carbon market to climate tech, there's no shortage of talented folks working on this gnarly challenge. And an additional big thank you to the amazing people and clients that brought me in to work with them on cool projects over the past year IKEA Foundation Devex Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth Cuberg
Let's collaborate and go after it! : ) Also, we're #hiring for a few roles on our CA team if anyone wants to chat!
After filling my cup through collaborative workshops and convenings toward the end of 2023, I’m dedicating more time to regular in-person connection with Bay Area climate community this year. There’s simply no replacement for that IRL magic, am I right? Here’s what I’m excited about:
👩🏿 Co-creating and vision-building with fellow women of color in climate 💬Enjoying the full spectrum : from hang-out oriented meetups focused on connecting over human stories, to learning events, conferences, and everything in between. 🚀Geeking out on my favorite climate tech topics by supporting local startups working in: carbon accounting, net zero action, removals/avodance, DAC, equitable transition 🎙️Leaning in to facilitate and host as much as possible. 💚Moving from Zooms and Slacks to IRL with folks in my Terra.do Work on Climate Women and Climate communities
Here’s a great starter list for Bay Area friends. See you out there!
