Alison Whitehead is the National Program Lead for Integrative Health in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Patient Centered Care & Cultural Transformation.4 She leads the Integrative Health program.2

The VHA established the Integrative Health Coordinating Center (IHCC) within the Office of Patient Centered Care and Cultural Transformation in 2014.135 The IHCC's purpose is to identify and address obstacles to delivering Complementary and Integrative Health (CIH) across the VHA system and serve as a resource for clinical practices and education for Veterans, clinicians, leadership, and staff.135 In 2016, the IHCC formed an Advisory Workgroup (IHCCAW) to plan for the introduction of CIH formally into VHA.3
